Why Am I saved?

– A dark and foreboding question has come to mind of late –

Why have I been saved when so many others have not?
So many of my family, my friends, those I know personally, all seem to have no interest in being rescued from Hell and the Eternal Lake of Fire. So, why did I hear and understand but they don’t seem to get it?

Why me?

It’s a question that lingered in the back of my mind when I heard someone who is lost died, still in their sins, or someone who is going to die, and yet still refuse to hear! So, why, why was I ‘picked out of the crowd’ of this sea of lost sinners to understand The Truth? Why was I SO ADAMANT about finding out what was true that I was willing to DIE to find the answer?

Yes, that’s right. I decided some time ago I was going to understand The Truth or die trying. But why?

Why me?

Abraham was quite a guy, while here on earth. I am sure he’s a far better one now, in Heaven. But when he was here he was the man God pointed to when He spoke about trust. Abraham heard God and acted: A man of great faith. But when I read these following verses in the Bible I couldn’t help thinking Abraham’s clothes were smoking from the anger he was stirring up in God from his questioning…

Did you get that? Abraham was questioning, even yelling, it would seem, AT GOD!!! And Abraham LIVED!

Abraham Dares to question YHWH about killing the Godly with the wicked in Sodom

From Genesis 18
The men rose up from there, and looked toward Sodom. Abraham went with them to see them on their way. Yahweh said, "Will I hide from Abraham what I do, since Abraham has surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him? For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Yahweh, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Yahweh may bring on Abraham that which he has spoken of him." Yahweh said, "Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous, I will go down now, and see whether their deeds are as bad as the reports which have come to me. If not, I will know."
The men turned from there, and went toward Sodom, but Abraham stood yet before Yahweh. Abraham drew near, and said, "Will you consume the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are in it? Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn't the Judge of all the earth do right?" Yahweh said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sake." Abraham answered, "See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes. What if there will lack five of the fifty righteous? Will you destroy all the city for lack of five?" He said, "I will not destroy it, if I find forty-five there." He spoke to him yet again, and said, "What if there are forty found there?" He said, "I will not do it for the forty's sake." He said, "Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?" He said, "I will not do it, if I find thirty there." He said, "See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord. What if there are twenty found there?" He said, "I will not destroy it for the twenty's sake." He said, "Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?" He said, "I will not destroy it for the ten's sake." Yahweh went his way, as soon as he had finished communing with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

The God of all Creation will do the right thing to everyone? right God?

Wow, what chutzpah. Well Abraham found out the answer was… Yes. God does and always will do what is right, to everyone.
Then why do you question His workings?
Because I want my family members who are still lost to also be saved.
Have they not heard the truth?
Do they have any more chances to understand than you?
Well…No. The Bible says they all have all the same information, and more, because I tell them more than I ever got!
Then THEY are the reason they do not repent!

THIS Way

They deny the truth in their unrighteousness. They refuse to even think of God. They have no excuse, for God has made Himself plain to all just as plainly as he did you.
(See Romans 1:18-32)

I remember very well a moment in my life when I heard God speak to me. He startled me, to say the least. But His answer was SO simple, so clear, so profound I will remember His Words forever. I asked Him a question in a moment of utter frustration over my inability to do anything right, be anything but a waste. I was sitting there on the steps of the house I lived in, just spent. I knew His message, I knew what He wanted, and I was willing to totally surrender to Him, but I wanted to know what then??? I’d spent all my life looking for answers that now I had them…. what then?

Once I was rescued, knowing I am such a worthless person, what would I do then?

God’s answer to me was, “Do right.”

Abraham seemingly was getting angry with God and questioned God’s motives, for Abraham knew God, of all of who are, should be the One who ALWAYS does what is RIGHT! And Abraham was right, God does right by ALL. So, then, the question that demands an answer is… do you BELIEVE He will?

Do you Believe God will always do what is RIGHT?

God defines Himself as The Way, The Truth and The Life. And YHWH is defined as The RIGHT. He is righteousness Himself. His very NATURE is what I S RIGHT.

And because God IS Good; He will always do what IS right, so then you can TRUST Him! And you want to know the kicker? John 3:16. Come on, you know it, say it with me:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

“…poor rich folks are investing millions to try and turn the gene on, that God turned off when Adam sinned. The bad news is that if all the billionaires on earth combined their wealth it wouldn’t be enough to bribe God to turn the gene on again. The good news is that it took something of infinite more value—the blood of Jesus Christ…and now it’s a free gift.

Eternal life doesn’t cost anything but a little humility, to say, ‘God be merciful to me, a sinner.’ That may be too much of a cost for some, but if you are interested in everlasting life, humble yourself, and do the test on: www.needGod.com

A little humility is all that’s needed… Amen, Father, Glory to God!
