Amelia, Here are some tips I have noted on how and why Ray Comfort can seem to speak to people SO easily; to ANYone, at ANYtime:
1. He Loves God. He loves God SO much that he wants to tell everyone how they can love God too.
2. He doesn’t consider himself better than anyone, so he has compassion
3. He doesn’t think he’s smarter than anyone, so he doesn’t talk down to people, or use language he would not normally speak to people with; He’s just plain.
4. He doesn’t think he knows everything, so he listens, REALLY listens. Take the time to watch his Living Waters University videos on Youtube. Watch how he listens and what he listens for; to know when to speak.
5. He is know BY God, so Ray knows what God says is right. In other words, Ray Comfort believes every word of the Bible and is UNSHAKEABLE in his Faith in Jesus. Are you?
6. Ray Comfort knows that each person he speaks to, or hands a tract to, could die the next moment. That’s called a sense of urgency. Develop that by reading the Bible every day. Maybe you’d like some extra training? Here is where they offer Biblical Schooling online, if you’d like that.
7. He’s friendly. Ray has lots and lots of ATHEISTS who just love him. Interesting, right? Ask yourself why.
*. He knows HOW to preach the Gospel because he has studied how. Law to proud heart, Grace to the humble heart.
Ray has learned that Jesus uses the Law to explain sin to the the proud of heart and ONLY shares the Gospel to those who are humbled, or when others are listening who may be ready to hear.
I will never forget something Ray said, when asked how he gets over his fear of speaking to people (that he says happens to him all the time), when he knows he should now, that the time has come to open his mouth:
He says he lets his love overcome his fear.
If you ever are too afraid to speak use the moment as an opportunity to just be friendly, that’s why I do. Whenever my fear of man gets too great I just practice friendliness with strangers. Just go around being friendly. and the more friendly YOU are, the more you will care about people, where they are headed, and why.
Another thing Ray recommends is to memorize Scripture that you can then use to overcome your fear of speaking.

Now, something I heave learned is that it isn’t MY love for someone that motivates me, but God’s love for THEM. GOD CARES! Sometimes I am SHOCKED by those He cares about.
I know enough about myself to know I am not going to care about people I don’t know. But God desires ALL people everywhere to be saved; He gets no satisfaction from the destruction of the wicked. God may laugh at the scorners, but He yet desires they be rescued.
God has given His Best to deliver anyone who will but believe and trust in the Savior, His OWN SON as their sin’s payee. So yes, I tell people about that.
