Proverbs 24:11-12 (WEB)
Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter! If you say, “Behold, we didn’t know this”; doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?
When you read these verses together, as they were written, as God Himself said it, you discover something astounding, a meaning so entirely different from what many have used verse 12 to say… In fact I have NEVER heard one Minister explain its true meaning!
What God is saying here, in Proverbs 24:11-12, is that He will judge those who try and use the excuse, “We didn’t know!”, for why they did not, “Rescue those who are being led away to death”, the professing Christians who have not tried to, “hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter”! Evangelism is commanded!
In this nation of professing Christians who think their only job is to just exist, to merely be grateful for what God has given them and never say a word. The keys to these two verses alone clearly show that is not the case, that we shall all be judged for what we have done with those who are perishing!
If you are one of those Christians that these verses are speaking about, may I suggest you repent and find the Biblical means to preach the Gospel to those who are being destroyed in their sin daily? Or maybe you should go here and learn the truth the first time?
